Offered during Winter and Summer sessions, the Writing Centers' Dissertation Boot Camp is an intensive multi-week workshop for UD graduate students writing their dissertations.
Participants spend a majority of their time writing; however the program also includes short presentations and discussions on topics relevant to dissertations students, including motivation, goal setting, and time management.
Students gain access to space, and the structure to facilitate progress on their dissertation. They do not receive feedback on their draft; rather, the Dissertation Boot Camp provides support for their writing process.
There will be four Dissertation Boot Camps held during Winter 2019:
January 14-18 10am-3pm
January 28-February 1 10am-3pm
Applications for Winter Boot Camp sessions due by December 16. Applicants will be notified whether or not a spot is available for them by December 17.
Coffee will be served in the morning, lunch will be served at 12pm, and snacks will be available all day.
Most participants bring their own laptop or tablet to work on. We have plenty of extension cords. We will be able to accommodate a few students in each Boot Camp who need to use a Writing Center computer.
